ML-4 Lapping Machine for CVD Diamond Wafers

The ML-4 is a precision planetary lapping machine engineered to lap CVD diamond wafers to a flat, near-mirror finish (RA~200nm).

Equipped with four independent work heads, the ML-4 processes up to four wafers simultaneously against a large, horizontally mounted planetary grinding wheel.

Each head incorporates a proprietary self-leveling fixture with motor-driven disc holders, and individually adjustable lapping pressure.

The ML-4 provides consistent, high-quality surface finishes, for subsequent fine polishing steps.

MP-2 Polishing Machine for CVD Diamond Wafers

The MP-2 is a precision planetary polishing machine designed to polish pre-lapped CVD diamond wafers to a high-quality mirror finish with Ra < 15 nm.

MP-2 can process up to two wafers simultaneously against a horizontally mounted planetary polishing wheel.

Each head features a proprietary self-leveling fixture, motor-driven disc holders, and individually adjustable polishing pressure for precise, uniform contact and material removal control.

Wafers pre-processed and chucked in the ML-4 lapping machine transfer seamlessly to the MP-2.
